VAT REIMBURSEMENT OF OVER 4,5 MILLION WAS REQUESTED DURING APRIL

During APRIL 2009. 112 requests for VAT reimbursement and redirection of means from tax credit for paying tax liabilities were submitted to Tax Administration.
Tax Administration, with the aim of evaluating well foundedness of the requests for reimbursement, accomplished necessary checkings and audits, after what adequate resolutions were issued.
The total amount of the shown VAT credit based on requests for reimbursement is 4.528.693,44, 3.336.548,48out of what was in the name of the reimbursement to tax payers, while 1.192.144,96 were in the name of redirection for payment of other tax liabilities.
During the above mentioned period 89 requestes for VAT reimbursement were settled, including requests that were submitted in the previous period and were to be paid in this month.
The total amount of reimbursement on the settled requests was 5.271.230,08, 3.470.354,26 in the name of VAT and 1.800.875,82 for redirection for payment of other tax liabilities.
In the period from April 2003, when VAT was adopted, up to APRIL 2009, Tax Administration received 6.669 requests for VAT reimbursement, out of which 6.611 were settled. 415.621.420,58 were accordingly aproved for reimbursement to tax payers, 312.352.203,19 in the name of reimbursement of VAT credit and 103.269.217,39 were redirected for payment of other tax liabilities.
Audits should be carried out according to 58 requests more, after what the procedures will be settled by issuing adequate resolutions on adoption, dismissal or partial adoption of the requests.
